Scot has been fascinated with heavy equipment work from a young age, and as a result he started SEH nearly 30 years ago. Scot is passionate about creating a team environment throughout the company, as he looks to provide the best service possible to SEH clients. He is committed to clients that embrace SEH as a partner – with the understanding that the SEH team consistently delivers projects on time. With a dedication to helping others, Scot constantly explores ways to be more efficient and to learn from decisions as he makes them. More than anything, he is glad to have grown SEH and to have seen the company do well for the past 29 years.
With 30 years of accounting experience and 16 years working in construction, Melody enjoys helping others to be the best that they can be both professional and personally. She is passionate about the integrity of SEH and its ability to provide a good service to clients. Melody prides herself on keeping good records so that she is able to answer any accounting related question quickly and confidently. With her family as her heart and soul, Melody’s biggest accomplishment is raising three children who have become good, genuine people.

Chris is passionate about doing whatever it takes to be successful at whatever work or life throws at him – and he brings this mantra into both professional and personal life! He has been working in his field for 15 years, but is still willing to learn and improve. Chris enjoys his work because no two projects are ever the same – he enjoys being continually challenged and growing more and more every day. With this attitude, Chris helps clients keep their projects on schedule and on budget. Outside of work, Chris sheds his thick skin to be a compassionate father to four girls.

James has been in his field for 29 years. With this experience under his belt, he is able to deal with any problem with a level head. James is good at talking with other companies and building relationships. More than that, he enjoys working with clients to complete the job ahead of schedule whenever possible. Outside of work, James is passionate about his family and being involved in the lives’ of his two kids and two grandkids.

Jason started working in the field right out of high school, and now has 25 years of experience under his belt. He is passionate about making sure that each job he undertakes is clean, neat and reflects well on the company. As someone who is good at teaching himself and others how to do things right the first time, Jason values a client that is open to suggestions. He takes pride in the way a job looks when it’s done, and keeping a job on schedule in the process.

Missy Lindsay joined SEH Excavating in May 2018, with over 30 years of experience in Payroll and Human Resources. She enjoys the one-on-one contact that she has with the Foremen and Employees. Missy is committed to issuing an accurate payroll on a weekly basis, loves the Team Philosophy, and will assist anyone to achieve a final goal.
Her true passion is her daughter, son-in-law, and beautiful grandson, and oh yes, the dogs!!
Jamey has 15 years of experience in the auto industry and 12 years of experience working with heavy equipment. Professionally, Jamey is passionate about working with a problem and finding the ideal solution. In his personal life, Jamey enjoys time with his family – and riding his Harley Davidson! He enjoys working with clients that think outside of the box and bring their own ideas to the table. Jamey is most often compliment on keeping company equipment safe and consistently improving operations.

SEH did a full site package for us. This included sediment control, utilities, mass grading, paving, and last but not least, widening a state highway.
Our experience was exceptional. They worked against the clock and weather on this entire project. I quite frankly do not believe another site contractor would have been able to get this project completed.
SEH put in Saturdays and nights as needed to stay on time and budget. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their project done on time and budget at a high quality.
SEH has been the general contractor for numerous residential site development projects in Anne Arundel County over the past several years. These projects have included single-family detached, townhouses and apartments. SEH provided the management and oversight for all aspects of the site development, including clearing, grading, installation of all utilities and storm water management facilities, as well as curb, gutter and asphalt paving. They have been excellent to work with and very competitive with their pricing. Everyone that we have dealt with has been professional, courteous and sensitive to meeting delivery schedules. They have stood behind their work and expeditiously followed through with any concerns or requests that we have had during the development process. In short, I can recommend SEH for quality site development at competitive prices.
The success of any project is dependent upon quality subcontractors. SEH time and time again has outperformed their responsibilities by providing quality supervision and superior workmanship in everything they do.
SEH has performed site work including demolition, site grading, water and sewer installation SWM, stor, drains, pervious and impervious paving systems for us.
SEH was our site contractor on a 7 phase residential lot development project. The project started in 2017 and was just completed. We had 424 town homes. In addition, they were the site contractor to our General contractor on Howard Square Verde Apartments – 299 LEED Platinum Apartments, and are currently the site contractor to our GC on the Howard Square Verde II Apartments and retail project which is 2 buildings with 344 apartments, two garages and 21,500 sf of retail.
We have been very pleased with SEH. They have consistently met all of their commitments. When challenges have arisen on site, they have been part of the solution and always focus on mitigating extra expense and time. They have held their budget numbers through all 7 phases of the work through 8 years. As subcontractors to our apartment GC’s on two projects, they have performed well and with no conflicts. I always know that if I have an issue, I can always reach the president of the company if needed, and he always gets us the resources or answers we need right away.
We have had the opportunity to rebid the work on this project and have never had any reason to do so. SEH keeps their commitments, provides competitive pricing and holds the line on escalation over time. Both of the apartment projects were bid by the general contractors’ and SEH was low and competitive. They were awarded both projects by the GC’s Lend Lease on the first project, and Harkins on the Second.
I would recommend SEH to anyone, as we have had an excellent working relationship with them, and I look forward to future projects together.
SEH has completed the site work for many of the apartment communities that I have developed. My experience has been that SEH has done great work, ahead of schedule and within our budgetary constraints. Additionally, SEH works well with our civil engineer to optimize the grading of the sites to lessen the financial impact of any haul off/haul in.
I can always count on SEH to do a great job and to have my best interests in mind!
SEH has been a full-service site development contractor for Toll Brothers for over five years, primarily in the locations of Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, and Harford County. They have consistently demonstrated an ability to deliver projects on time and within the contracted scope.
SEH can always be counted on to deliver quality work. They’ve become an expert in the construction of bio-retention facilities, and their paving work is second-to- none. I especially appreciate how involved and accessible their upper management team is, and would highly recommend SEH to anyone.
